IT Field Services Technician with Local School System
FIELD TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the configuration, installation, operation, preventative maintenance and repair of the district’s computing hardware and their applied software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Installs and tests software on stand alone computers, laptops and tablets.
· Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software related issues on end point devices.
· Configures and installs a variety of devices.
· Diagnoses and resolves critical and non-critical hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
· Providing face to face and remote customer service.
· Provides technical assistance to end users, help desk and fellow support analyst, utilizing technical information provided through vendor relationships, hardware manufacturers and process manuals.
· Responds to technology service desk trouble tickets to resolve customer problems and closes trouble tickets; maintains records of statistics and tracking requirements, and hardware and software maintenance and repair.
· Installs, upgrades, and maintains a variety of software applications and computer hardware, including peripherals.
· Closes trouble tickets upon completions of services or resolution of problem
· Performs backup activities and restoration of files as needed.
· Participates in testing and implementation of new systems and procedures.
· Works with building staff and various departments to integrate technology solutions into the environment.
· Maintains a record of hardware and software in use at assigned locations.
· Prepares required documentation and report.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Three (3) or more years’ experience in analysis, installation, configuration and testing of micro/mini computer network software.
· Valid state of Ohio driver’s license.
