Employees are part of the team and this position is for a full-time technican who is already aquainted with the field. We are looking for someone who can help manage installation jobs, work with a team to install new systems and do some service work. We value our employees and beleive in showing that as part of a team. The own reguarly does field work and has been a technican first before starting the company.

We primarily utilize Potter Signal fire alarm systems but also work with DMP, Fire Lite, Silent knight and have a few bosch, siemens, edwards and notifier systems.

PRIMARILY WORK AROUND NORTH/CENTRAL Jersey. A work van will be supplied, employee must have the ability to park the vehicle overnight at their home.

Must be able to work overtime, as necessary.

A 1000.00$ Sign-On bonus is available to the qualified technican who signs on to work with us.

General Requirements:

  • Knowledge on Fire Alarm and Access Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools. For example: screwdriver, ratchet, pliers, wire cutters, hand saw.
  • Familiarity with Power Tools. For example: where to use a masonry bit vs wood vs metal bit, being comfortable using a drill to drive a screw into a frame, or use plastic anchors in sheet rock, drill out a piece of metal
  • Ability to work off of a ladder
  • Must understand basic measurements such as using a rule or tape measure and working in feet and inches.
  • Basic math skills, be able to add, subtract, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills
  • MUST be open to learning and willing to make an effort to remember what you learn and apply it

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; push; pull or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle while seated for extended periods, and be able to drive at night.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and occasional outside weather conditions.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • This job involves working with 110-volt electricity and may involve working around 120-volt electricity.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle while seated for extended periods, and be able to drive at night.
  • This position involves the possibility of crawling under structures or in attics and must be able to bend and work in tight spaces.
  • The employee is required to be available to work on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. as necessary. Although it is not frequent that this occurs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years minimum working in the Fire Alarm and Security Field

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Must have valid driver’s license issued by the state in which they reside and proper automobile registration.

  • Somerset
  • Morris
  • Passaic
  • Middlesex
